Description

Antimony Trioxide (= ATO,Sb2O3): White crystalline powder, might be yellowish when heating, then change to white when cold. No odor. Relative density: 5.2, Melting point: 655℃, Boiling point: 1550℃,LD 50 (rat, oral): >34.6g/kg. Soluble in NaOH solution, hot Tartaric acid solution, bitartarate solution and Na2S solution, slightly soluble in water, dilute H2SO4 or HNO3 solution.

Application

It is suitable for fire retardant in textile, paper and plastic, also used as catalyst, mordant agent. Discoloring agent in glass industry. Pb metal softening agent, also in producing overglaze decoration and Antimony Potassium tartarate.

Antimony Trioxide is supplied in 25kgs net kraft paper bag.


Handling & Storage

Keep in a tightly closed container, stored in a cool, dry, ventilated area. Protect against physical damage.
